Beatrice Rose Marie Houser Hamilton (4/12/41 – 6/1/16), was the second child of five and first daughter for Catherine Anne Faust Houser and James Francis Houser.

Born in Bethlehem, PA at the dawn of WWII, Beattie was active in the Girl Scouts and numerous clubs in school. It would be no surprise to see this Liberty High cheerleader riding her bike to the stables, the swimming hole and all over town before heading to Kostas Drug Store to serve up sundaes.

She studied nursing in Philadelphia, PA during the riots of the 1960’s and started her career working in Allentown PA and later Elizabeth NJ. She raised her two children, Elizabeth Christine and David Michael Hamilton in Seymour, CT where her love of UCONN Huskies women’s basketball began and never ended.

Her love of exploration and adventure touched all she met as seen by learning to drive a motorcycle at 50.

She leaves of a legacy of gardening and taking one day at a time with her children (including Janet, Igor, and Hollyann), grandchildren (Matthew, Trevor, and Mathew) and loving extended family & friends.

Bea will be sorely missed but always remembered as we stop to listen to the birds, smell the roses and chase the clouds from the sky.
