Obituary: Joseph Mikita, 99, of Shelton

Joseph Mikita, 99, of Shelton, general foreman at B.F. Goodrich, husband of Shirley (Cole) Mikita, died May 1, at Gardner Heights.

Born in Shelton, on June 13, 1916, son of the late Nicholas and Anna (Bacha) Mikita; sergeant for the U.S. Army during World War II.

Besides his wife, survived by his children, David and Joseph Mikita, brother, Andrew Mikita, three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Also predeceased by his first wife, Patricia (Krogulski) Mikita, four brothers, Michael, William, John and George Mikita, and five sisters, Theresa Besescheck, Mary Garber, Dorothy Garber, Anna Dziadik and Helen Ploski.  

Burial: St. Michael Cemetery.
