John Allen Brangaccio died on July 12, 2015 in Hollywood, Florida at age 73 of complications from lung cancer.
John grew up and was educated in Shelton, moving to Fort Lauderdale in 1970 with his mother Louise after the death of his father Alphonso.
John was a loving and loyal son, a good brother and an all around nice guy. A lifelong bachelor, John lived in Fort Lauderdale with his younger brother Al, who survives him. He is also survived by his older brother David and his wife Mary Ann, their four children David, John, Marla, Amy and collectively their eight children.
He graduated from Shelton High School in 1960, spent four years in the Air Force, returned to Shelton and worked at Sikorsky Aircraft. In Florida he worked for Eckerd Drugs and then with CVS after the merger. He was retired and also was a friend of Bill W.
John will be remembered by friends and family as quiet and shy but mostly as a caring and kind person. He will be missed.
John’s cremated remains will be placed in the Brangaccio Family Columbarium in Riverside Cemetery, Shelton, following a memorial service to be held at the columbarium on Friday, Sept. 11, at 11 a.m. All friends and family are welcome and a gathering will be held after the service at the home of David and Mary Ann Brangaccio at 81 Sixth Avenue, Milford, CT.
