Andrew Duda, age 83, of Shelton, beloved husband of Anna Molitoris Duda, passed away at home on Wednesday, March 25, 2015.
Born in Babje, Czechoslovakia on November 14, 1931, he was a son of the late Andrew and Anna Kahanovsky Duda.
He arrived in the United States in 1948 and worked as a carpenter for the former A.W. Burritt’s Lumber Company. He later became a builder for various construction companies, and also built his own home.
Andrew was an avid beekeeper and he found great enjoyment caring for them. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he will be greatly missed.
In addition to his wife beloved wife of 54 years, Anna, other survivors include two daughters, MaryAnn Duda of Huntington and Kim Lee Stribling and her husband David of Kensington, two brothers, John Duda and his wife Betty and Thomas Duda and his wife Helen, all of Bridgeport, and his grandson, Andrew John Stribling as well as several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to meet on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. directly in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 406 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment will held at a later date in Lawn Cemetery, Shelton. Friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
