Carolyn Faith Johnson Klingloff
Carolyn Faith Johnson Klingloff, age 80, of Shelton passed away on March 7, 2015. She spent her last hours at Hospice of Palm Beach County Florida surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Robert Klingloff.
She is survived by her 3 children; Lori Witak (Pete), Michael Klingloff, and Lisa Jarnot (Robin Mayer) and her grandchildren Kim, Dana, Mike, Zack, and Jake.
She was born on August 1, 1934 in Worcester, Mass., the only child of Christine Mack Johnson and Carl George Johnson. Losing her parents at an early age, she spent her teenage years with her aunt, Eva Johnson and cousins, Ruth, Phyllis, and Lois. She married Bob in 1955 and moved to Ansonia CT for several years before settling in Huntington where she lived until her death. Her career in banking spanned 17 years until her retirement in 1995
She loved travels and adventures with family and friends, relaxing in Rangeley Maine, skiing the slopes of Vermont, golfing at Brownson Country Club, traveling abroad, or weekly bridge games with the ladies. She was active in the community volunteering throughout her career and for her children’s school activities. Most of all, Carolyn cherished time with her children and grandchildren, sharing her love of the ocean in Delray Beach Florida and Cape Cod, where she was truly the happiest.
Friends may call on Wednesday March 18, 2015 from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 AM in the funeral home with Rev. Lucille Fritz, Pastor of the Huntington Congregational Church, Officiating. Spring Burial will be held at Lawn Cemetery.
