Robert W. Phipps, age 91, husband of Alice Miller Phipps for 71 years and resident of Shelton, entered into eternal rest May 22.
He was born in Derby Oct. 22, 1921, son of the late George & Emma Swanson Phipps.
Robert was a WWII Army Veteran of the Pacific Theatre and was a member for 54 years of The American Legion Post in Shelton. He worked as a glazier for Klahr Glass in Bridgeport.
He was predeceased by his brother George & sister Dorothy Wilson.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his children Bob, (Ann) Ron (Lorraine) Dave (Maureen) Randy, Greg (Terry) Linda O’Marra (Neil) Debbie Onderko (Ron) and 11 grand & 10 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren & several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held privately by the family with burial in State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown, where military honors will be accorded. There are no calling hours. The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia, is entrusted with arrangements.
