Obituary: Francis “Frank” Paradiso, 83, of Shelton

Francis “Frank” Paradiso, age 83, of Shelton, beloved husband of the late Evelyn “Eve” Dattolo Paradiso, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Bridgeport, on August 16, 1929, he was a son of the late Donato (Daniel) and Anna Vellotti Paradiso.

Frank worked for the Julian Construction Co. for many years before his retirement.

Survivors include a daughter Roxanne Paradiso Babian of Shelton, two grandchildren, Angela Bastien and her husband David of Kirkland, WA and Nicholas Babian of Brooklyn, NY, a brother, Daniel Paradiso of Wolcott, a sister, Anna Golding and her husband Ed of Stratford, special sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Libby D’Amico of Monroe, Rose Anderson and her husband John of Newtown, Ricky Dattolo of Bridgeport, Nellie Grosko of Monroe and Peggy Dattolo of Stratford as well as several nieces and nephews. He also leaves his canine companions, Pierre and Fifi.

He was predeceased by three brothers, Patsy, Jerry and Louis (Ralph) Paradiso and a sister, Theresa Wells.

The family would like to thank the staff and doctors at the Center for Cancer Care at Griffin Hospital / Smilow Cancer Center, especially Dr. Kevin Jain and Joyce Chung.

Funeral services will be held on MONDAY, May 13, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. DIRECTLY at St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave., Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, Monroe. Friends may call on SATURDAY, May 11, 2013 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
